What is so important that you can’t afford to be out of contact for a few days? You’re on vacation!
But you have to have a phone that operates on the global, GSM frequencies and not the CDMA commonly found in the US. And you will be assessed roaming charges…..

Boost mobile and Alltel are the best in prepaid. You only pay a dollar a day for unlimited texting, unlimited nights and weekends and mobile to mobile with i believe sprint and nextel costumers. But the best phone they have is a hundred bucks, but i still think its so worth it. Alltel is basically the same.

for cell phones any prepaid anything it will deduct out of you account so if you have 15 dollars and you have a plan and you call during the day it will take out your daytime minutes plus the cards rate. So yes since you used your phone you will get charged for the minutes
now if you have a prepaid cell phone you will get charged too but lets say you have att and you call another att customer the call will be free since att has free att to att. i work at a cell phone store

Question by mgt17ga: Can I unlock a prepaid cell phone to use with my existing cell phone service?
I currently have cell phone service (not prepaid) and would like to upgrade to a different phone; I live outside of the US and it is somewhat of a hassle to upgrade to a new phone. I was wandering if it is possible to purchase a prepaid cell phone, unlock it and use it with my current sim card and monthly service?
Thanks for your help!

Question by diz_guy_be_thuh: If I use a phone card to call someone who has prepaid, will i still be using their minutes?
I am calling someone out of the country who has a prepaid cell phone. If I use a phone card to call them, will I also be using up their prepaid minutes or am I just using up the phone card minutes only and their minutes won’t be affected? Or maybe both of our minutes will be used up, the prepaid and the phone card minutes.

Question by master t: How should I set my cell phone service?? I dont know about cell phones?
I want to have a cell phone only for emergency. I probably will never use it unless theres a big problem. I want it for my room because I dont have a phone outlet. Should I just buy a cell phone and a phone card? Will this be ok, or do I have to unlock it. I dont even know what unlocking does.
What should I do?
